Age Relaxation Rules

The standard upper age limit for all advertised posts is 18 to 25 years. However, as per Federal Government rules under Civil Posts Relaxation of Upper Age Limit Rules 1993, all candidates are entitled to a general age relaxation of 5 years.

This means the effective upper age limit for open merit applicants is 30 years as on the closing date of applications. Additional age relaxation is also provided to specific categories like government servants, disabled candidates, and scheduled castes according to federal regulations.

Please note that no age relaxation is allowed below the minimum age limit of 18 years. Furthermore, no relaxation in physical standards height, chest, or running endurance test will be given to any candidate under any circumstances.

Physical Endurance Test Criteria

Candidates applying for field uniformed roles including Sub Inspector, Assistant Sub Inspector ASI, Constable, and Constable Driver must qualify physical screening before taking the computer based test:

Physical Measurement Test: Height verification for male candidates 5 feet 6 inches and female candidates 5 feet 2 inches. Chest expansion check for male candidates 33 by 34.5 inches.
Running Endurance Test: Male candidates must run 1 mile distance in 7 minutes. Female candidates must run 1 mile distance in 10 minutes.

Only those applicants who successfully pass both physical measurement and running test will be allowed to sit in the written examination.
